These guidelines are for the use of ePortfolios by students for academic and professional development purposes.
1. Students may use ePortfolios for a variety of academic and professional development purposes including to –
(a) satisfy requirements of individual units, professional experience, community engagement and/or other requirements within their course of study;
(b) record, understand, reflect on and evaluate their learning and experience in terms of discipline-specific or broader employability skills, professional competencies, graduate attributes and their lifelong learning;
(d) identify skills gaps and areas for improvement through review of and reflection on their ePortfolio content;
(e) plan professional development activities;
(f) support them in collating and producing evidence of their achievements, such as in professional experience or community engagement placements, unit or course requirements, applications for employment and scholarship, bursary, award and/or grant applications;
(g) provide evidence to meet the requirements of professional accreditation agencies.

2. Where students use ePortfolios in connection with any unit or course requirements, they will comply with the procedures published in the Unit Outline and in accordance with the Assessment Policy, as to the manner and timing of the submission of relevant materials.
